 Budweiser Magnum was decidedly on the stronger side, carrying a more ‘adult’ vibe fitting for the adults we’d become. It tasted distinctly different from other beers; you could trace the malt’s bitterness and sweetness back to the same robust origin, like two sides of the same coin. At first, it teased with a rounded, almost caramel-like sweetness, but just as you settled into it, the flavor finished with a sharp, bitter afternote a reminder that adulthood, much like this beer, wasn’t all smooth sailing.
